Zuleika Bravo (she/her, ella)

Assistant Director

Zuleika began her educational career in community college while raising her eight-month-old child and ultimately transferred to UCLA, where she earned her B.A. in Political Science and Latin American Studies and an M.A. in Higher Education & Organization Change from GSE&IS. Zuleika is dedicated to college access and ethical student advocacy for graduate students. Zuleika has served in a variety of advocacy roles as the Transfer Student Representative on the UCLA Undergraduate Students Association Council, as well as the Basic Needs Student Officer for the UC Student Association, where she worked with the UC-Wide Basic Needs Committee to expand the definition of Basic Needs, and as a Graduate Student Committee Member on the UCLA Student Fees Advisory Committee (SFAC). Zuleika is a firm believer that our educational journeys are sacred and when shared with others, can spark inspiration in students who share similar life experiences. In her spare time, Zuleika enjoys streaming shows, play video games with her daughter, and take naps to recharge.

Zuleika manages the day-to-day operations of the GSRC and serves as the lead staff person advising the graduate student planning committees for Graduate Student Orientation and Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Graduate Welcome Day.

Fun Fact: I love gaming and I have my own etsy store selling my art on journals and clothing.

Advice for graduate students: Set time aside in your calendar to rest and reflect on your well-being. Sometimes we need a reminder.
